new kid on the block

College, to me at least, it both the beginning and end of an era. Hopefully I left my inhibitions and doubts behind me. Being that I am a music ed. major, the doubts are there for sure, but the music part of me is very uninhibited. To give even more significance than necessary to this, I have decided to start a blog chronicling my life as an oboe student. So anyway, as of now I have nothing to say other than that I am tired and regret the process entirely. Hm…it’s 12:18am, but the little time bar on my edit page says it’s 4:18am…interesting, I should figure out how to fix that, if possible…but I digress. Moving-in day is next Friday and it’s all I can do to just be able to sit here calmly. Not only for the sheer excitement of escape from my parents (something I and quite sure every college student is fond of), but just to be an oboist and just that. I guess I’m lucky in that respect, because, most of my classes I don’t consider work. That, of course, excludes theory, specifically aural skills by a long shot. Maybe my regret will kick in tomorrow and nobody will read this. Perhaps it’s best to just stick it through. Who knows? Maybe someone reading this blog down the line may actually get some helpful information from me (pending on whether I actually learn this said information).
